“Casa de España is one of the most historic and popular destination wedding venue in Old San Juan”

One of a Kind Wedding Venue in Puerto Rico, Casa de España

The experience in Casa de España was exceptional. As a photographer, I was fortunate to document a wedding in this historic Moorish, style building by architect Pedro Adolfo de Castro. This Moorish Revival house is a unique and symmetrical structure that made every photo unforgettable. Virginia and Alejandro are a spontaneous and unique couple. I met Virginia at her cousin’s wedding, and as soon she saw the images that I took she immediately told me to be the photographer for her big day. It was an honor for me because I feel excited when my work speaks for itself.

Multicultural Wedding at Casa de España

This awesome couple came from Miami, Florida; Virginia is Puertorican and Alejandro is Bolivian. Multicultural weddings are always an exciting mix of traditions. Among the guests, there was a mix of Colombians, Bolivians, and Puerto Ricans. It’s extraordinary to know that couples from other parts of the world have chosen Puerto Rico to be their wedding destination and want to celebrate their union at Casa de España in Old San Juan.

Stress-Free Puerto Rico Destination Wedding

From the beginning, this wedding was stress-free. The getting ready photos of Virginia was at the AC Hotel by Marriott San Juan in Condado and Alejandro was in a house near the hotel. Virginia and Alejandro chose a wedding package that includes two photographers, so the other photographer was with Alejandro while I was with Virginia. It’s important to know if the couple would like getting ready coverage for both and discuss the logistics of how this will take place. To perform an appropriate coverage of bride and groom, I always recommend 1 hour for each one. In those hours of coverage, it’s essential to consider the time of transfer to the ceremony. After sending the recommendations via email to the couple, generally, everything flows according to the photography timeline.

Virginia and Alejandro, thank you so much for trusting in my vision and work. These photos will always be part of my trajectory and photography records.

Always my pleasure,
